Barcelona + Jazz
After a great time hosting travelers in November 2022, I’m continuing to lead private Barcelona + Jazz tours in 2023, and organizing a small group trip for the September 2023 Jazzing Festival, founded by the musician and music educator Joan Chamorro of the San Andreu Jazz Band. These trips, and experiences for people already visiting Barcelona, of course include concerts at jazz clubs and theaters; but go beyond to explore how Barcelona’s famous art and design landmarks and artists historically and currently connect with jazz and other music in the city. We´ll pair jazz with Catalan wines, artisanal cheeses, tapas and vermouth, and sample swing dancing, flamenco and Afro-Cuban music.
