Gladys Palmera
Before we moved from Los Angeles (Via New York and Miami) to Barcelona, I discovered Radio Gladys Palmera and dreamed of being involved somehow in this soulful project born from the most important collection of Afro-Cuban music in the world.
Six years later, I am so pleased, and truly honored, to be a contributor to the Gladys website, and the translator of the first book to be published by Gladys Palmera, a definitive guide to the chachachá, through the record cover art that evokes a global musical phenomenon, a dance and an era.
Here a few of my stories, with playlists and featured albums, for Gladys Palmera.
